Dr. Martin Heming (born 1956) studied Chemistry at the University of Münster, where he completed his PhD in 1983. From 1983 until 1988, Dr. Martin Heming worked as a post doctoral fellow at the University of Houston (Texas, USA) and at the University o Zurich (Switzerland). From 1988 to 1995, Dr. Martin Heming worked in Research and Development at the SCHOTT AG Group. In 1996 he took over the commercial management of the Optics business segment. In 1998 he was appointed Chairman of the Board/CEO of SCHOTT Lithotec AG. From February to September 2006, Dr. Martin Heming served also as the Executive Vice President of the Advanced Materials business unit. From October 2006 to September 2008, he headed the “solar“ business unit at SCHOTT AG and in this position he als served as the Managing Director of SCHOTT Solar GmbH. In 2007, he also became Chief Representative of SCHOTT AG and a member of its Corporate Management Committee. Dr. Jürgen G. Kaiser-Gerwens (born 1962) served in the German military for two years. He studied business administration at the University of Münster and at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), where he received his PhD in 1990. From June 1990 until February 2002, Dr. Jürgen G. Kaiser-Gerwens served in diverse managerial positions in the area of finance at the Unilever Group, his last position was that of EVP Finance “of the Spreads and Cooking Category Europe” at the head office in Rotterdam (the Netherlands). From March 2002 to July 2006 he served as Managing Direcor of Dynamit Nobel GmbH, where he was responsible for finances, purchasing, IT and human resources. In August 2006, Dr. Jürgen G. Kaiser-Gerwens came to SCHOTT Solar to serve as Chief Financial Officer and commercial attorney-in-fact. He has served as the Managing Director of SCHOTT Solar GmbH since January 2008 and has been a member of the Company’s Management Board since its reorganization as a stock corporation.
