Jens Vietor (born 1968 in Wiesbaden) holds a degree in industrial engineering, acquired at the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1997. After the completion of his studies until 2001 he was working for Wella AG in Darmstadt. At that time he was already responsible for innovation management. Part of his duties at Wella AG was the controlling of research and development. In 2001 he joined the SCHOTT AG. At the SCHOTT Solar parent organization in Mainz he was engaged in innovation controlling until 2005, heading the department from 2005 to 2007.
Vietor changed to the SCHOTT Solar AG in 2007, where he acts as Senior Innovation Manager to date, affiliated to the strategy and business development department. His tasks involve technology marketing and planning for research and development. For technology marketing this comprises cooperations and licensing. In the research & development area he is working on roadmaps, internal development projects and the expansion of cooperations.
