Business Unit Concentrated Solar Power (CSP)
In the business unit Concentrated Solar Power, SCHOTT
Solar develops, manufactures and markets highly efficient receivers, the key
component in solar fields of solar energy plants with parabolic trough
technology. Receivers are currently manufactured at the locations Mitterteich
(Germany) and Aznalcóllar (Spain). From 2009 onwards a manufacturing plant is
also planned for Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA).
Business Unit Photovoltaics (PV)
In the business unit Photovoltaics, SCHOTT Solar
develops, manufactures and markets innovative, high-quality photovoltaic
products. With crystalline solar wafers, mainly manufactured in joint venture
with Wacker Chemie AG, solar cells, solar power modules and a-Si thin film
modules, SCHOTT Solar provides key components in the value chain for the
photovoltaic generation of energy. Photovoltaic products are currently
manufactured at the locations Alzenau (Germany), Billerica, Massachusetts
(USA), Jena (Germany), Putzbrunn (Germany) and Valašské Meziříčí
(Czech Republic). From 2009 onwards a manufacturing plant is also planned for
Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA).
