CeBIT 2008, March 4 – 9, 2008
Mobotix presents a wide range of products at CeBIT 2008
Kaiserslautern/Hanover, CeBIT 2008. The highlights of the
Mobotix AG stand (Hall 6, E02) at this year's CeBIT trade fair in Hanover were
the presentations of the Q22 hemispheric dome camera, an extensive upgrade to
3.1 megapixels for all existing camera models, a new, innovative ExtIO module
and a new software package, MxEasy.
With a single lens, the new Q22 enables a hemispherical 360°
allround view. Just one camera is all that is needed to view all four corners
of a room. The 'fish-eye' effect typical of this kind of lens can be digitally
switched off in the live images.
All of the company's existing camera models now have a
standard resolution of 3.1 megapixels and a function enabling digital zooming
and panning in high image quality. The cameras themselves record the generated
video streams internally, thus reducing the network bandwidth to null.
The new ExtIO module features motion and temperature sensors
in addition to a loudspeaker and microphone, opening up many new applications
for all Mobotix cameras. They can even be used as intercom systems.
The MxEasy program introduced at CeBIT makes using Mobotix
cameras extremely user friendly. The tool has an easily understandable input
mask that allows trouble-free installation and operation of the cameras. The
intention of MxEasy is to enable users to quickly acquaint themselves with the
main control functions, where possible without having to consult an instruction
manual. The program is planned for release in May 2008.
