Die Mobotix AG ist ein technologisch führender Systemanbieter von digitalen hochauflösenden netzwerkbasierten Video-Sicherheitssystemen. Das Kaiserslauterer Unternehmen wurde im Jahr 1999 als Aktiengesellschaft gegründet und vertreibt seine Lösungen weltweit über Distributoren und qualifizierte Vertriebspartner in über 70 Ländern. Die Mobotix AG verfügt zurzeit über rund 130 Mitarbeiter und erzielte im Geschäftsjahr zum 30. Juni 2007 einen Umsatz von rund 23,6 Millionen Euro. Die Video-Sicherheitssysteme von Mobotix eignen sich aufgrund der kostengünstigen dezentralen Architektur für sehr unterschiedliche Anwendungen. Weltweit sind bereits 100.000 Mobotix-Kameras im Einsatz.
